Moderate cold wave sweeps over parts of Bangladesh

Dhaka, 4 January: Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions and the region of Srimangal, the Meteorological Department said on Thursday.

According to its forecast, the cold wave may continue and spread over adjacent areas.

Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country during mid-night till morning.

Night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.

The lowest temperature of today was recorded 6.5 degree Celsius at Chuadanga and the highest temperature of Wednesday was recorded 26.2 degree Celsius at Hatia and Bhola.

Apart from these, seasonal low lies over South Bay. Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining area.
