World: Lowest temperature across continents today

Dhaka, 8 January: As Bangladesh experienced its lowest temperature in history, it might be worth a look into what the remainder of the world went through today.

The lowest temperature was recorded in Khatanga at -42 degrees Celsius in Russia.

Here is a list of the lowest temperatures recorded across continents today:

North America – Canada, Nunavut, Resolute Bay: -32 degrees Celsius

Africa – Algeria, Bechar: -2 degrees Celcius

South America – Antarctica, Marambio Base: -2 degrees Celsius

Asia – Russia, Khatanga: -41 degrees Celsius

Australia/Pacific – New Zealand, Christchurch: 16 degrees Celsius

Europe – Finland, Kemi: -23 degrees Celsius
